Terry Plumb’s Sunday column concerning the two finalists for the county manger job is a journalistic disgrace and I hope not the view of The Herald. If he has a problem with members of the County Council, he should address the specific members and not discredit the entire council.
If any of the candidates do read Mr. Plumb’s article, they probably would be much more concerned with Mr. Plumb’s vindictive attitude and journalistic style than his accusations about the council. Undoubtedly Mr. Plumb has an personal ax to grind with the council and should be restricted on his opinions in The Herald.
Many of the council members were re-elected approximately a year ago, and most with a substantial majority. Mr. Plumb is undoubtedly not in touch with the majority of the voters in the county. If he really thinks it is as bad as he portrays, one would think he would find another county to live in.
