Dre Bailey capped a 12-play, 53-yard drive with a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter, lifting Lewisville to a dramatic 21-20 victory over county rival Great Falls on Friday.

The Red Devils had taken a 20-14 lead in the third quarter on an 8-yard run by DC Caldwell. However, the Lions dug deep with a dramatic drive mid-way through the fourth. The Lion defense also came up huge, stopping the Devils at the eight yard line with two minutes remaining.,

The game, however, was overshadowed with a combined 39 penalties for 329 yards and a skirmish in the fourth quarter that led to two ejections.

“It was your typical rivalry game,” Lewisville coach Will Mitchell said. “Both teams played hard and Great Falls is very much improved without a doubt. We made our share of mistakes, but dug deep and found a way to win.”
