Winthrop Eagles women’s soccer beats Alabama A&M 11-1

Junior Krystyna Freda scored three goals to lead the Winthrop women’s soccer team to a 11-1 victory over Alabama A&M Sunday afternoon.

Three school records were broken in the game including most goals scored in a single game, most team points in a game (31) and most shots taken in a game (40). Freda also broke the record for most individual shots taken in a game (12) that she previous set in 2011.

The Lady Eagles improve to 3-1 while the Lady Bulldogs fall to 0-6.

The Lady Eagles return home for their next match against Davidson on Friday at 7 p.m. at Eagle Field.
