Clinton College convocation Wednesday

— Clinton College celebrates its 120th academic year at 10 a.m. Wednesday during convocation in the J. W. Martin Gymnasium.

The speaker is Dr. Albert J.D. Aymer, first president of Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, N.C.

Dr. Aymer is the senior pastor at Morristown Methodist Church. He served as interim president of Livingstone College from February 2001 through January 2002.

He has several degrees in liberal arts, philosophy and theology. He has a doctorate degree in New Testament studies from Drew University, Madison, N.J., and an honorary doctorate of divinity from Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C.

He is a World Council of Churches Scholar at Lancaster Seminary, Lancaster, Pa.

The former junior college begins this year with a new name, Clinton College, offering four-year degrees in business administration and religious studies.
