YORK — A York man told police that a man bitter about losing two fights pointed a handgun at him and several others while they were on the porch of his home last month.
Police on Tuesday arrested Jalen Shaquille Williams, 20, of York and charged him with five counts of pointing and presenting a firearm. He had been wanted since August when the other man, 30, reported to police that Williams pointed a silver gun at him and others at his Blackburn Street home.
The man’s relative told police that Williams, who he only knew as “Shaq,” had lost a fight between the two of them several years ago although they had been friends, according to a York police report. When “Shaq” challenged him to a rematch, he lost again.
Williams drove by the man’s home, pointing his finger or making obscene and threatening gestures, the report states. Last month, he pointed a gun.
The victim managed to give police a description of the car Williams rode in, although officers were unable to initially find Williams or the woman who drove the car.
Police found Williams at a York Park home on Tuesday. He is held at the York County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. It’s unclear if the woman driver has been arrested or charged.
