Those who missed their chance to be a movie extra during a filming last weekend in Rock Hill have another opportunity in Gastonia on Saturday.

The makers of “Athena: Goddess of War” are looking for more extras for the new superhero movie.

Last Sunday, local residents took part as extras when the studio held a one-day shoot at Winthrop University.

The movie is rated PG-13 and will be available later this year on Time Warner Cable, DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast Cable, Cox Cable, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, VUDU, Cinema Now, and other cable and iVOD platforms.

Maiden Comics Studios’ second call for extras takes place on Saturday in downtown Gastonia, N.C.

Adults, teens and children are welcome to attend, if interested in becoming extras.

Organizers ask that extras wear normal street clothes with no logos or copyright-protected photos on T-shirts. Extras are asked not to wear bright colors such as green, pink or red.

Movie extras need to arrive at 8 a.m. and lunch will be provided. There is no pay associated with the work.

To RSVP and for more information e-mail or call 704-777-7187.
