Rock Hill residents will soon have another caffeine-fix option.
The Target Corp. has received initial approval to put a Starbucks in its Dave Lyle Boulevard location.
The company submitted drawings and a building permit application last month to re-fit its guest services center to bring in Starbucks.
City officials say the building permit has been issued under the condition that the architect obtains a city business license.
Starbucks Coffee Company and Target Corp.’s offices did not return e-mails or calls requesting additional information about the addition to the Dave Lyle Boulevard store.
The in-store coffee shop would be the fourth Starbucks in Rock Hill.
Winthrop University has a Starbucks on its campus and there are two locations on Celanese Road--one near Interstate 77 and one inside the Harris Teeter grocery store.
