Don’t put labels on ordinary Republicans
I would like to respond to Wesley Rash’s comments. I am an ordinary citizen who is a Republican. I don't think I am, I know I am and am proud of it.
I am a Republican because I believe in the Constitution and limited government control of our lives. I am nowhere near being a millionaire. I don't believe that most Republicans are, just like all Democrats are not poor.
I am a compassionate person who will do what I can for others. I believe we should help others in their time of need, but I don’t think we should just give handouts.
There are people who can make more on welfare than in a job. The government is making it too easy not to work. They want to be in control of all aspects of our lives. I am not OK with this.
Rash said that we are making it hard for ordinary Americans to vote. That is just crazy. I have no problem showing my ID when I vote. I have to show it to get on a plane or when I use my credit card. Why would you not want to make sure the right person is voting?
I know you will say it’s hard for the ordinary people to get an ID, but it’s not. They will be given a ride to get it if they need one. I worked at a ministry center in town, and we required an ID. Most people who came in had a picture ID.
I want our country to be a great nation, but we are going to hell in a handbasket. It's time for Americans to wake up! I am tired of being put down and labeled by people who don’t even know me!
