YORK — A York man told police his older brother pistol-whipped him and accusing him of stealing money from his nephew's piggy bank.
Earlier this week the 21-year-old man said his brother thought he was stealing from the child, so he pulled out a .38 special and struck him in the forehead with it, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report. The brother, 26, then put the gun into his younger sibling's mouth, forced him to the ground and smashed his head into the floor, causing him to lose consciousness, the report states.
The man was treated at Carolina's Medical Center in Steele Creek, where he told officials he was in a go-kart wreck. The doctor stitched up a small cut on his forehead. He also received five staples to close a wound on the back of his neck, according to the report.
The man declined to press charges against his brother.
The report did not indicate if any money was missing from the piggy bank.
