LANCASTER — A pedestrian was killed Saturday night in a crash along Highway 521, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Dorothy Miller, 60, of Kershaw died of blunt force trauma from the wreck, according to the Lancaster Coroners Office. She was outside of her broken down car when she was struck.
An 82-year-old passenger from one of three vehicles involved in the accident was taken by helicopter to Richland Memorial Hospital for injuries.
Officers are still investigating details of the crash, including the identity of the driver of a white Ford pickup involved in the fatal collision.
The crash took place about a mile and a half north of Kershaw.
A special team of troopers is investigating the wreck and trying to determine exactly what happened.
