After a brief police chase Friday night, officers arrested a convicted felon who isn’t allowed to have a gun, according to Rock Hill Police reports.

Michael Issac Mobley, 23, of Rock Hill was charged with unlawfully carrying a pistol and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the report states.

Officers stopped Mobley while he was riding a bike in the middle of the road without proper reflectors. According to the report, Mobley didn’t stop for police and instead began running away, throwing a loaded Glock into the bushes of a nearby residence on Miller Street in Rock Hill.

Police recovered the gun, which made a loud sound when it fell to the ground, along with Mobley’s cell phone from the area.
