A Rock Hill man was attacked in his home by a group of people during an attempted burglary, according to Rock Hill Police.

The 30-year-old victim told police he was attacked by a group of seven to eight men and women early Sunday morning in his home on McFadden Street after answering a knock on his side door.

One of the attackers was wearing a blue bandana across his face and charged at the victim when he opened the door, according to the report. The homeowner also told police that he was struck on the back of his head with a metal object, which made him fall.

The group fled to West Main Street when the victim’s wife called the police for help. Police found the man with a cut at the back of his head and a busted lip.

Police detained three female suspects after surveying the area.

Two minors were cited, along with Jasmine Faustino Wilford, 17, of Rock Hill, who has been charged with burglary, assault and battery by mob, and criminal conspiracy.
