MYRTLE BEACH — A Myrtle Beach woman was arrested after her boyfriend said she went crazy when he asked her about a rose he found on her vehicle, according to a police report.
Maria Mokeeva, 28, of Myrtle Beach spent about five hours at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday after she was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to jail records. She was released at 6:08 p.m. on $1,500 bail.
A 46-year-old man told that about 10:30 a.m. Sunday he and Mokeeva argued after he found a rose on her vehicle, according to the report. The victim said Mokeeva told him the flower was from a man she was sleeping with.
The victim said Mokeeva screamed at him, broke a chair and pulled a kitchen knife on him and tried to cut him, according to the report. The victim said he pushed her to the ground when she threatened him with the knife.
Mokeeva told officers that the victim had assaulted her and he accused her of infidelity, according to the report.
