— A repo man claimed he suffered injuries to his foot after the owner of a car he was trying to reclaim ran over his foot at a Rock Hill apartment on Monday, police say.

At about 12:10 a.m., police were sent to the Patriots Crossing apartment complex when dispatchers received word of an assault, according to a Rock Hill police report. When police arrived, they met with the repo man, 29, who told them that the vehicle’s owner, 39, jumped in the car and tried to hit him.

The repo man told police he jumped on the hood of the car and then fell off, the report states. That’s when the car owner ran over his foot.

Police could not actually see any physical injuries to the repo man, who also declined medical treatment, the report states. Police referred him to the civil courtesy summons process.
