Three men with handguns robbed 11 Winthrop University students of their iPhones on Friday night, according to Rock Hill Police spokesman Mark Bollinger.
The incident occurred on the 300 block of Ebenezer Avenue, he said. The students were sitting around a fire pit outside a house when three black males arrived, Bollinger said. At least two of the men had guns and all three were wearing black bandannas that covered their faces, except for the eyes. They demanded the phones.
Once the students had handed the phones over, they left, heading toward the Winthrop University campus, triggering an emergency alert to students.
