ROCK HILL — Police collected several 9mm shell casings after gunfire was reported this weekend in two Rock Hill neighborhoods.
Police were called to a home near Oakwood Acres Park Saturday morning after a nearby resident said he heard shot fired and then saw a man walking by the third base dugout, according to a Rock Hill police report. Police searched the area around third base and found a shell casing.
Police also found empty marijuana bags littered throughout the park.
At about 12:15 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Fall Line Way and Vale Court after hearing reports of several shots fired in the area. Officers found nine 9mm casings in the middle of the road, and spoke with a witness who saw a red sedan and dark van drive away from the area where the shots came from, according to another report.
No one was injured in either shooting, and police have not identified any suspects.
