Worker airlifted after fall at Fort Mill school site

A construction worker at the new Doby’s Bridge Elementary School in Fort Mill fell off the school’s roof on Tuesday morning, according to a Fort Mill police report.

The man, 28, is an employee of Basland Inc., a drywall company, a sub-contractor on the construction project.

Officers were told that the man fell from an upper roof onto a lower roof before landing on the ground.

He was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. His condition is unknown.
