LANCASTER COUNTY — A Lancaster County Detention Center inmate escaped from his designated work area on Tuesday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office say Anthony Scott Vincent, 22, of Lancaster walked away from work around 2 p.m., according to a news release.
He was working near Old Charles Street and Airport Road in Lancaster County, the release states. It's unclear what type of work Vincent was performing or how many officials were supervising him at the time he escaped.
Vincent is supposed to be serving a 30-day sentence at the detention center on a bench warrant.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans with LCDC printed on the pant legs and a white T-shirt, authorities say.
Vincent weighs about 145 pounds, is 5-foot, 10-inches and has brown hair and blue eyes, according to the release. Vincent also has multiple tattoos, including some on his face.
The Lancaster County Sheriffs Office is asking anyone with information about the location of Vincent to call 803-283-4136 or contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime SC (1-888-274-6372).
