A money jug with approximately $700 in cash was stolen from a Rock Hill church on Saluda Street sometime Monday night, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

A pastor and elder from Faith Christian Ministries reported a burglary to police on Tuesday morning after the door to the church office was broken into. A front foyer window was also broken.

Church staff identified a potential suspect to police after the 5-gallon glass jug containing cash was also stolen last year, according to the pastor in the report.

In that incident, the unidentified man had confessed to stealing the jar.

An arrest has not been made.
