The Rock Hill and Chester Christmas parades drew big crowds to their downtowns on Friday, setting the tone for the holiday season.
Santa and Mrs. Claus rode in the Rock Hill parade on a float built by York Technical College's building and construction trades students. This was the second year that York Tech students built Santas float. The float included Santas Workshop, complete with candy cane light poles, snow, Christmas lights and an illuminated York Tech logo.
