— Three people who do not attend South Pointe High broke into the school after hours on Tuesday and rifled through a student’s pocket book, stealing an iPod and $1, according to a police report.

The student, 16, reported the theft to the school’s resource officer, who was able to monitor surveillance video showing three suspects entering the school after hours, going into a restroom on the “C” hall and then walking into a classroom.

That same night, the school hosted a basketball game and concert, the report states. None of the suspects, all listed as age 20, attended those events.

Police were able to develop still photographs of the suspects and continue to investigate.
