Northwestern Trojans’ average national ranking is seventh

Northwestern finished the 2013 season with an average ranking of seventh in national high school football polls, according to MaxPreps.

The Trojans were ranked seventh by USA Today. Other national polls ranked the Trojans from 5th to ninth, according to MaxPreps.

Northwestern capped a perfect season Dec. 7 by defeating Stratford for the Class AAAA, Division 2 state championship.

The seventh-place average ranking ties Northwestern with the 2005 Byrnes Rebels for the highest season-ending ranking for a South Carolina team.
