The body of a Lancaster County man was found early Christmas morning on Interstate 40 in Roane County, Tenn.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is asking for help from anyone who might know what happened to Brian William Taylor, 42, of Heath Springs.

Taylor was found at around 2:30 a.m., Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 364. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue and white checkered flannel-type shirt and tan work boots.

The preliminary investigation indicated he either jumped or fell from a moving vehicle and was then hit by at least one other vehicle.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Criminal Investigation Division is considering every possible scenario, including foul play.

Anyone with knowledge of Taylor or who might have information that may assist with this investigation is urged to contact the Tennessee Highway Patrol Knoxville District Headquarters at 865-594-5800.
