Third Rock Hill park vandalized with graffiti

— Another Rock Hill park was vandalized Christmas week, officials reported Saturday.

A worker at Manchester Meadows park off Mount Gallant Road noticed graffiti on the picnic area and playground, according to a Rock Hill police report. The damage estimate was $300.

The graffiti was similar to that found at Cherry Park and Glencairn Garden on Tuesday. In those cases, a children’s sculpture was spray-painted with red X’s, light bulbs from a soccer field gazebo were tossed in the grass, and graffiti was scrawled on the restroom and a nearby meeting building.

Police believe the vandalism cases may be connected.
