Boy Scout Troop 280 from Harvest Baptist Church celebrates several Scouts reaching Eagle rank. Among the many requirements to achieve this award, each Scout is required to complete a community project. These Scouts have completed the following projects:

Ethan Hajas, new playground at church; Daniel Twitty, Catawba River sweep; Jacob Timms, nature trail at Chester State Park; Jacob Stiling, landscaping of new parking lot at church; Sam Walker, water cooler shelter, picnic tables and storage shed at Camp Canaan; Jeremy Ward, restored/painted bleachers for Lowrys Community Park; Joshua Wisener, promotional video for Tender Hearts ministry; and Christopher Keane, picnic tables at Lake Wateree State Park.

Harvest Baptist Church has become a charter member of the new organization Trail Life USA, which is similar to Boy Scouts but with a greater emphasis on service projects. Its mission is to guide boys to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others and experience outdoor adventure.
