Police: Drunk Rock Hill man brandishes gun, lies to officers

rsouthmayd@heraldonline.comJanuary 8, 2014

— A York County sheriff’s deputy was called to Horton Avenue in Rock Hill after a report of a man with a gun.

Willis Roseboro had fought with his roommate over bills after drinking a "full 12 ounce bottle of Brandy mixed with Coke," according to a sheriff’s report. The roommate said Roseboro then went into his room and came out with a rifle, then returned the gun to his room and left.

An officer found Roseboro driving his truck around the Adnah Hills community. He smelled strongly of alcohol, the report stated.

Roseboro resisted arrest and refused to give the officer his keys. He said he never had a rifle and that he didn’t drive a truck, even though the officer had seen him in it just moments before.

Roseboro was taken to the York County Detention Center and cited for driving under the influence and public disorderly conduct.
