Drum set stolen from Rock Hill church

A Rock Hill church was vandalized and robbed late last week, according to a York County sheriff’s office report.

Deputies responded to an alarm at the Cel River Church of God on Cel River Road around 2 a.m. Friday, the report stated.

The front doors of the church appeared to have been pried open and items were “disturbed.” A black and silver Yamaha drum set was missing, although several of the foot pedals were left behind.

There were tire tracks in the parking lot of the church and a piece of the drum set was nearby.

The pastor, who lives next door to the church, said he didn’t hear any noises during the incident
