Jansen Pro Bowl diary: Team Sanders’ 1st practice

January 23, 2014

Dear Diary,

What a day! My Panthers teammates and I started the day by traveling to Pearl Harbor to take part in a Play 60 event with many local kids from across Honolulu. I found myself joined up with THE KRAKEN against Mike Tolbert in a passing and catching relay race. Unconferenced competition definitely got started early.

In the afternoon, I got to be a part of the first-ever NFL Pro Bowl Draft. As I told you yesterday, I was selected on Day 1 by Team Sanders. I was introduced at the top of the show and spent the rest of the day in the post-draft room. It was really interesting to be a part of a draft where punters and snappers had been selected to play while No. 1 draft picks and multiple-time Pro Bowlers waited around to be picked by NFL legends. NFL history for sure!

Tomorrow I start practice with my teammates for the week. Wish me (Andrew) Luck!
