Winthrop baseball: Brrrrring on spring (training)!

January 24, 2014

The Winthrop Eagles took to a cold but sunny practice field Friday for the first time in their 2014 baseball campaign.

See a photo gallery from the practice.

Head Coach Tom Riginos, beginning his fourth season, led 35 players into The Winthrop Ballpark, with the Eagles’ Feb. 14 season opener against Akron just three weeks away.

The Eagles will practice again at 11 a.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Both sessions are open to the public.
