S.C. High School League suspends Gaffney, Boiling Springs players after brawl

A boys basketball game last month between players from Gaffney and Boiling Springs was marred by a brawl. The short brawl was broken up by fellow players, coaches and the sheriff's officers.

The S.C. High School League suspended players from Gaffney and Boiling Springs on Friday after a brawl between the two boys basketball teams a week earlier.

The SCHSL suspended eight Gaffney players for two games and two more for three games. The program also was placed on restrictive probation for one year, the (Spartanburg) Herald-Journal reported on Friday.

The SCHSL suspended one Boiling Springs player for five games and three more for two games. The program also was placed on one year restrictive probation, according to the Herald-Journal.
