— A 28-year-old Conway woman faces three driving under the influence charges following a fatal Jan. 25 car crash.

Brittany Lewis, 28, Conway, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of driving under the influence resulting in death and one count of driving under the influence resulting in great bodily injury.

On Jan. 25, Lewis was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pick-up truck west on Bucksport Road at around 5:20 p.m. when she failed to stop at the sign at the intersection of Highway 701, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol. That vehicle struck a Ford sedan that was traveling southbound on S.C. 701.

Two people, Jacklyn Marie Cohen, 18, of Conway and Ryan Marsh, 22, of Little River, died from multiple blunt force injuries caused by the crash.

All four occupants in the Chevrolet and one occupant from the Ford were taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions were unknown Saturday.

Bond had not been set for Lewis on Saturday.
