— A Rock Hill boy who had been missing for more than four hours was found safe and sound in a gas station Tuesday night after deputies used manpower and dogs to search for him.

Deputies spotted Brandon Hinson, 10, inside the Shell gas station on Hands Mill Highway, said Sheriff's Office spokesman Trent Faris. He did not suffer from any injuries, but was reported to be "safe and sound."

Authorities had been searching for Brandon ever since he was last seen getting off his school bus at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. A neighbor who typically checks on him noted that he dropped his book bag off at home and then left.

He had not been seen since until deputies found him just before 8 p.m. He lives in Rock Hill's Creek's Edge subdivision off S.C. 274 near Mount Gallant Road.
