ROCK HILL — York County drug agents arrested three men on drug trafficking charges after seizing a half kilo of powder cocaine Tuesday after a traffic stop on Interstate 77, according to police.
The drugs have a street value of $50,000.
Agents on the drug interdiction team pulled over the car on I-77 northbound for speeding and another traffic offense and a drug dog found the drugs in a hidden compartment in the trunk, said Marvin Brown, commander of the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.
Allegedly the drugs were headed for the northeast, Brown said.
Eloy Eliqio Toro-Castro, 47, of Columbia; and Felix Maria Rodriguez-Urena, 48; and Rafael Antonio Vazquez-Valentin, 33, both of Pennsylvania, were charged with trafficking cocaine.
Torro-Castro also was charged with driving without a license.
Rodriguez-Urena and Vazquez-Valentin's bonds were set at $50,000.
