Rock Hill residents: "Fix Ebinport"

Some residents say they are frustrated with delays for repairs to Ebinport Road, connecting Cherry and Celanese roads in Rock Hill. Recently, a small group of concerned residents handed out yard signs that read "Fix Ebinport" for their neighbors to display in their yards. A road widening and repaving project for Ebinport Road has been on the books since 2003. But, York County officials say there's not enough money to pay for the project right now. Officials estimate the Ebinport Road improvements will cost around $13.5 million -- nearly twice the estimated cost as when the project was first approved by voters in 2003.
