— A “visibly shaken” Rock Hill woman told police that while giving a car ride to a neighbor she feared would drive while drunk, the man forced her into the backseat of the car and sexually assaulted her last weekend.

On Monday, a woman, 44, called police, asking them to investigate an incident between her son, 23, and neighbor, 19, because she wanted to make sure the victim was not making false accusations against her son, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Police spoke with the victim, who reported that at about 6 p.m Saturday, she walked out of her apartment, off Willowbrook Avenue, to get into her car and leave, the report states. While outside, she ran into her neighbor’s son, who was standing beside his silver Cadillac with an open bottle of Vodka in his hand. The man asked her if she could give him a ride to the store. The victim asked the man if he would drive under the influence if she didn’t agree to give him a ride. He told her he would, the report states.

The victim told police she agreed to drive and got into the driver’s seat of the man’s car, but was unable to find the keys, the report states. When she asked the man where they were, he reclined her seat and forced the woman to perform sexual acts on him. He pulled her into the backseat of his car and tried forcing her into sex, but she kept pushing him away and ordering him to stop. She managed to escape the car and went back inside her apartment.

During her interview with police, the victim was “visibly shaken” and had to pause several times to hold back her tears, the report states. Police managed to uncover the man’s name and reach him on the phone. He confirmed that he drove a silver Cadillac, but asked police why they wanted to know his information. An officer told him it was part of an ongoing investigation and detectives would contact him soon.
