Rock Hill earns baseball win over Clover

The Rock Hill Bearcats baseball team scored six runs in the first two innings and defeated the Clover Blue Eagles 7-3 in a Region 3-AAAA game at Rock Hill.

The win improved Rock Hill to 6-1 overall.

Lewisville 15, Lamar 1: The Lewisville Lions pounded out 10 hits and defeated the Lamar Silver Foxes 15-1 in a Region 3-A contest at Lamar.

Evan Sisk was the winning pitcher for the Lions. He struck out 10 batters in five innings, improving to 4-0.

Austin Bradshaw and Nathan Turner each had a pair of hits for the Lions. Bradshaw drove in three runs, while Turner had a pair of RBIs.

The win improved the Lions to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the region.

Fort Mill 7, Rock Hill 5: The Yellow Jackets scored four runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game and got the winning runs in the eighth to hand the Bearcats their first loss of the season.

Indian Land 7, Buford 0: Jordan Szustwal scored four goals and led the Indian Land Warriors to a 7-0 win over the Buford Yellow Jackets in Region 3-AA play.

Justin Penn added two goals for the Warriors, while Zac Patterson chipped in one.

Roscoe Lovejoy had a pair of assists for the Warriors, while Szustwal, Henry Suvillaga, Mason Huebsch, and Brandon Jacob had one assist each.

Jake Barton and Luke Harris combined for the shutout. Barton had six saves, while Harris recorded three.

The win improved the Warriors to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the region. Buford fell to 0-2 with the loss.

The win was the second shutout of the week for Indian Land. The Warriors blanked York 6-0 earlier in the week.
