High school roundup: Wancheck strikes out 18 in Northwestern softball win

Northwestern pounded out eight hits and took advantage of eight South Pointe errors to defeat the Stallions 6-1 in a Region 3-AAAA contest at Northwestern.

Kori Wancheck picked up the win for the Trojans. She scattered four hits and struck out 18.

York 2, Rock Hill 0: Benji Amezuca and Evan Lewis scored the only goals of the match and the Cougars defeated the Bearcats 2-0 in a Region 3-AAAA contest at Rock Hill.

Erick Pacheco got the shutout for York.
