— Someone poured sugar into the fuel tank of a Rock Hill man's truck, causing nearly $250 in damage, according to police.

The 57-year-old victim said the vandal used an "unknown object" to force open the locked gas cap of his 1992 Ford F-150 either Wednesday night or Thursday morning while it was parked outside his apartment at Heather Square.

Police discovered a small pile of white sugar on the ground near the tank as well as the mouth of the fuel port. They also noted damage to the gas cap.

A suspect is unknown.
