Molly Hardwick finished sixth in the National Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Augusta National on Sunday.
Hardwick, a Rock Hill 9-year-old, won two qualifying tournaments to reach the final 11 of the girls’ 7-9 age group, held at the home of The Masters.
The competitors were ranked 11 to 1 after a round of each skill, with 11 points going to the first place finisher. Hardwick took seven points from the driving competition, three from chipping and eight from putting to finish with 18 points, positioning her right in the middle of the field.
Kelly Xu, from Santa Monica, Calif., won the 7-9-year old girls division. She accumulated 24.5 points to best Raina Ports from Tucson, Ariz., by 1.5 points.
