York County authorities are looking for the public's help in finding two teenage girls, age 15 and 16, who they believe ran away from their homes in Fort Mill last month.

Police believe the girls could be together in the Charlotte area. The York County Sheriff's Office identified the girls as 15-year-old Katherine Amanda Obert and 16-year-old Laura Elizabeth "Piper" Newton.

The girls' parents say they've been missing since March 21. Newton was reported missing the next day. Obert was reported as missing on March 26.

Deputies say the girls may have ran away together.

Anyone with information about Newton or Obert's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-409-4321. Or, submit information at www.yorkcrimestoppers.com.
