High school roundup: Bradshaw, Lewisville earn baseball win over Great Falls

The Lewisville Lions collected nine hits and defeated the Great Falls Red Devils 12-0 in a Region 3-A baseball game in Richburg.

Austin Bradshaw picked up the win. He pitched a complete game, scattering three hits and striking out seven. Evan Sisk led the Lewisville (16-1, 7-0) attack with three hits. He drove in two runs.

Fort Mill 3, Rock Hill 2: The Yellow Jackets made the most of six hits and defeated the Bearcats in Region 3-AAAA play in Fort Mill.

Nick Matchunis was the winning pitcher for Fort Mill (9-3, 9-2), while Garrett Leonard was credited with a save. Will Reid took the loss for Rock Hill.

Fort Mill 10, Rock Hill 0: The Yellow Jackets remained unbeaten in Region 3-AAAA play with a 10-0 win over the Bearcats.

Clover 1, Northwestern 0: Alex Plentiniewski scored the only goal of the game on an assist from Claire Allen and the Blue Eagles edged the Trojans in a Region 3-AAAA contest.

Carmen McCarter was in the goal for Clover and got the shutout. She had two saves. Grace Walker was in the net for Northwestern and had 10 saves.

Boys’ Golf

Andrew Jackson 167, Cheraw 187, Great Falls 214: Logan Sowell fired a 36 to tie for medalist honors and lead the Andrew Jackson Volunteers to a pair of wins in a nonregion trimatch at Kershaw Country Club.

Josh Peyseur of Great Falls tied Sowell for medalist honors by carding a 36.

Great Falls: Josh Payseur 36, Travis Payne 53, Tim Hinson 62, Eric Gage 63.

Andrew Jackson: Logan Sowell 36, Emily Cox 41, Mason Sowell 42, Garrett Sweatt 48.

South Pointe 151, Nation Ford 183: Chris Taylor and Bryan Edwards both turned in rounds of 37 to tie for medalist honors and lead the Stallions to a Region 3-AAAA win over the Falcons.
