A fire was reported Saturday morning at a Rock Hill auto business, despite the rain that fell for most of the morning.

Just before 9 a.m., the fire department was dispatched to a structure fire at the Tire and Wheel Auto store at 1265 East White Street, according to Rock Hill Battalion Chief Rusty Myers.

An RV parked outside the business caught on fire and spread to the building, Myers said, but within the hour, the fire was under control.

It was initially reported that there was someone inside the RV, although no one was found. The business was closed at the time of the fire.

From the Rock Hill Fire Department, 20 firefighters, three engines and one ladder responded to the blaze, which is under investigation.

A dollar amount for the damage caused was not immediately known.
