— A community-wide NFL draft party to celebrate the success Jadeveon Clowney will be held next week at South Pointe High.

Many national mock drafts have the former South Pointe and University of South Carolina defensive end as the No. 1 pick, belonging to the Houston Texans. Clowney will be at New York's Radio City Music Hall for the live draft event.

The party at South Pointe, which will highlight Rock Hill's "strong high school football tradition," will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. May 8 in the school cafeteria, according to a press release from the city of Rock Hill.

This free event will include interviews with local high school coaches, activities, games and a televised broadcast of the NFL draft event beginning at 8 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.
