An unknown suspect broke into a Rock Hill store on Tuesday night and stole beer and cigarettes, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Bobbie Plair, the owner of Simrill Grocery Store on Simrill Street, was woken up by a neighbor on Wednesday morning because the air conditioning unit to the store was on the ground, the report stated. It appeared the suspect first tried to break the glass out of the front door, but he was unsuccessful, so he ripped the A/C unit out of a side window.

The suspect got away with $45 of Bud Light beer and $48 in cigarettes. Investigators were able to lift several fingerprints from the scene.
