May 2, 2014

"Team Millie" t-shirts are on sale to benefit Sharon resident Millie Hagins, who is battling cancer.

Several community groups in western York County are gathering Saturday to help Sharon resident Millie Hagins, who is battling cancer.

The benefit starts at 8 a.m. with a bake sale at the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department. Benefit events continue at 2 p.m. and run through the evening, with another bake sale, food, an auction, live music and more. It is at the Hickory Grove ballpark, located near the intersection of S.C. 97 and S.C. 211.

A $25 donation gets a chance at $500 in a golf ball drop. There will be an auction of items included a signed NFL helmet. “Team Millie” t-shirts are on sale starting at $12.

All proceeds go to help Hagins deter medical expenses.
