High school roundup: Indian Land bests Pelion in AA baseball playoffs

BASEBALL

The Indian Land Warriors stayed alive in the Class AA playoffs with a 12-6 win over the Pelion Panthers at Pelion.

The win sends the Warriors to Buford on Wednesday to take on the Yellow Jackets for the District III title. Indian Land must defeat Buford twice to claim the title.

Travelers Rest 5, Chester 4: The Travelers Rest Devildogs edged the Chester Cyclones 5-4 in the Class AAA playoffs at Travelers Rest.

The loss ends the season for Chester.

The Chester Cyclones defeated Union County 2-1 in a Region 3-AAA matchup.

The win gave Chester fourth place in the region standings and a spot in the playoffs, which begin next Monday.
