LANCASTER — A man caught on camera robbing a Lancaster convenience store after he walked inside and demanded money from the clerk last month was arrested Monday after he was identified in surveillance photographs, according to deputies.
At about 7 a.m. April 12, a then-unknown suspect walked into Lloyd’s Store on Pageland Highway, acting “aggressively” the clerk and demanding cash from the register, a Lancaster Sheriff’s Office news release states. The man’s hands were wrapped, authorities say, as if he were concealing a weapon.
He left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
On Monday, deputies arrested Timothy Wright, 46, of Timmonsville, charging him with armed robbery, the release states. He was identified after deputies released surveillance photographs of the robbery and they were disseminated in the media.
Wright is currently held at the Lancaster County Detention Center without bond.
