— A portion of S.C. 97 in southern Lancaster County is closed after a fuel tanker truck overturned, according to emergency officials.

The truck is off the road but is leaking both diesel fuel and gasoline, according to emergency scanner traffic and dispatchers. Cleanup crews are on the scene, but it could take all day to clear the area.

Fire departments, DHEC officials, and other responders are also on the scene on the highway near Ember Lane.

It is unclear when the road will re-open.

A detour is in place from Green Road to the Kershaw County line, according to the Highway Patrol.
