Police: Rock Hill ice cream truck driver assaulted with fudge bar

— A Rock Hill man used a fudge ice cream bar to hit an ice cream truck driver on Wednesday afternoon after accusing the driver of giving his daughter incorrect change for a purchase, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

The assault happened on Walnut Street in Rock Hill around 4 p.m., the ice cream truck driver told officers. When police arrived, they saw a red mark on the 37-year-old driver's arm, the report states.

A 72-year-old man told officers he witnessed the assault and would be willing to testify in court.

Officers were unable to find the man accused of hitting the driver but the case remains active. The driver gave police a description of the man and his truck.
