2 men die after head-on crash in Chester County

— Two men died Tuesday after a head-on collision in Chester County.

Lawrence Rambert, 63, of Chester was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup when he travelled left into the oncoming lane and struck a 1991 Nissan pickup at 2:30 p.m. on Old York Road at Henry Road just south of Lowrys, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

William Alvin Chisholm, 71, of Chester was driving the Nissan, said Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker.

Both drivers wore seat belts and were entrapped in their vehicles.

Chilsholm was pronounced dead on the scene, Tinker said.

Rambert was taken to Chester Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no passengers in either truck.
